In inSPIN, the research infrastructure is centered around five competence laboratories covering the central disciplins of inSPIN:

NMR - core facility for NMR spectroscopy of insoluble proteins
Organic synthesis - synthesis of small molecules and peptides
Biophysical characterization - rapid and reliable characterization of insoluble proteins
Protein expression - integration with the central core facility for expression of large scale expression of isotope labeled proteins
Molecular dynamics - simulations of membrane- and fibrillating proteins and their interactions with surroundings
