The research activities in the inSPIN research centre is highly interdiscplinary, and involves the combination of Protein Chemistry, Chemical Synthesis, Biophycal Analysis, and Structural analysis as illustrated in the diagram below:

Research Overview

In combination these research competences (and competences established through external collaborators) form an excellent platform for studying proteins in insoluble biological structures. Our research is focusing on development of the required methodologies as well as applications in the areas of membrane proteins, fibrils, and extracellular matrix proteins.
